Eric Kafka
Principal
Eric joined Vertu Capital in July 2018. Prior to joining Vertu, he worked at Facebook helping to scale its business integrity efforts, and as V.P. of Corporate Development at Sysomos, a Toronto-based data analytics company, where he was responsible for strategic and financial planning, operating infrastructure and processes, and corporate acquisitions.
Mr. Kafka previously worked at OMERS Private Equity with Ms. Melchior on numerous transactions, after starting his career on the Mergers and Acquisitions team at Scotiabank.
Eric graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree and a minor in Economics. Prior to his professional career, he was a member of the Canadian National Gymnastics Team and represented Canada at the 2003 Pan American Games and at international competitions around the world.
